Trump said he is "100 per cent" willing to testify under oath on Comey meetings and tell the FBI Special Consul Robert Muller that he never asked FBI to stop investigating.
Speaking to reporters for the first time since 18 million Americans watched Comey's testimony before the Senate, Trump called the former FBI head a "liar" and said he never asked him to drop an investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn over his contacts with Russian Federation.
"And remember that issue went all the way to the Supreme Court, and the president was ordered to turn over the tapes, so that precedent has been established", she said.
Shortly after the press conference, leaders of the House Intelligence Committee said they had asked the White House whether there were any such tapes.
"Although the law required no reason at all to fire an Federal Bureau of Investigation director, the administration then chose to defame me and, more importantly, the Federal Bureau of Investigation by saying that the organization was in disarray, that it was poorly led, and the workforce had confidence in its leader", Comey said in his opening remarks before the testimony.
He also seized on Comey's revelation that he had directed a friend to release contents of memos he'd written documenting his conversations with the president to a reporter. His disappearance from view as the request for the memo pends has raised questions about the memo, the validity of which Comey swore by in his Thursday tesitmony before the Senate Judiciary Committe. If Trump hadn't fired Comey, or possibly if he'd just fired him in a sensible and professional manner, then Comey might not have testified at all.
Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers drew Feinstein's attention as well after they refused on Wednesday to comment on whether Trump asked them to interfere with the Russian Federation investigation.
Still, former prosecutors said Comey's testimony laid out sufficiently clear evidence to justify a deeper investigation of whether Trump had broken the law.
Box office collection: 'Raabta' continues to earn despite bad reviews
With this box office reports , it is clear that this film is going to top the list of flop movies made in 2017. It was a made on a budget of around Rs 35 crore, director Dinesh Vijan had revealed in an interview .
"Knowing my father for 39 years when he "orders or tells" you to do something there is no ambiguity, you will know exactly what he means", Trump Jr. wrote.
Comey said Thursday the president's tweet that said Comey "better hope that there are no "tapes" of their conversations had compelled him to share a memo he wrote. Can you tell us about those?
He told reporters: 'I'll tell you about that maybe sometime in the near future, ' adding cryptically: 'You're going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer, don't worry'.
Under oath Thursday, Comey repeatedly called Trump a liar - Trump responded Friday by saying Comey was a liar.
But Comey's testimony about the President has darkened the clouds hanging over the White House. "I'll tell you about it over a short period of time".
The president had previewed his attacks against Comey in an early-morning tweet that broke his previous day's silence on his favourite social media megaphone. There was, he said, "a real risk of a chilling effect on their work" had they known.
But if Comey's account is true that the president asked him for his loyalty and that he drop the Flynn investigation, it could leave Trump in legal jeopardy. That includes former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
Bob Inglis, a Republican former congressman who voted to impeach Bill Clinton in 1998, suggested Trump might be in particularly hot water. We know for a fact those exist, though.
