John McCain Confused During Comey Testimony

John McCain's fuzzy questions during the congressional testimony of former FBI Director James Comey left viewers scratching their heads.

McCain reiterated wanting to see Comey apply the same approach to the questioning with Trump as he did regarding Hillary Clinton's emails.

"It's hard to reconcile: In one case you reach a complete conclusion, and the other side you have not", McCain added.

McCain says he wants Comey to answer whether or not Trump's interactions with Comey constitute obstruction of justice. Then he drooped a bit and referred a couple of times to "President Comey" before Comey stepped in and reminded McCain that he was right there. Comey has offered to have the Federal Bureau of Investigation deliver his written account of his phone calls and meetings with President Trump made available to the committee, and if there are recordings, which the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director did not make, but does not know if Trump recorded their meetings, he was more than willing to have the committee hear them because he felt it would validate everything he has said.

Twitter lit up with snark about McCain's inquiries.

After previously stating that former Attorney General Loretta Lynch's now famous tarmac meeting with former President Bill Clinton led him to make an independent announcement regarding Hillary Clinton's email probe, James Comey revealed during his public testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee that Lynch has also asked him to downplay the investigation.

The 80-year-old, who flew home to the Grand Canyon State last night, has said he's a devoted Arizona Diamondbacks fan. What he was failing to understand was that there was a separate investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server while in office and the Russian involvement with the election and connections to the Trump administration. "I still believe this question is important, and I intend to submit it in writing to Mr. Comey for the record".
