Like whether #45's tweets are "official" White House statements (Sean Spicer says yes; Kellyanne Conway says they're not important) and if, by blocking some Twitter users, the president is violating the First Amendment. Morning Consult/Politico noted that while Trump supporters seemed set on wanting a shake-up, when it came to choosing a specific staffer to be let go, "most Trump voters don't want to see any of them fired".
The president acknowledged the pressure to curb his Twitter use in a series of tweets Tuesday, although he appeared to blame the push as a result of the mainstream media.
Twelve percent said they do not have an opinion and 4 percent said Trump is not tweeting enough.
Trump's tweets have become the target of mockery for his opponents.
A new Morning Consult/Politico poll found that Trump's tweets, which have come fast and loose practically every morning since the president returned from overseas, are increasingly a problem with American voters.
According to Neiss, he got the idea from ex-Obama administration employee Pat Cunnane who tweeted out his own mockup of a presidential statement last week after Trump tweeted about the London terror attack.
Polanski's victim to play supporting role for him in court
LOS ANGELES - A lawyer for Roman Polanski says his sex crime victim will directly appeal to a judge to end the case against him. Attorney Harland Braun wants a judge to release sealed testimony he believes will show judicial misconduct years ago.
A majority of American voters - including some Republicans - said they disapprove of President Donald Trump's use of Twitter and are concerned that his tweets could hurt the United States' national security and global standing, according to a poll released Wednesday. The full sample had a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
The next poll may indicate even higher disenchantment with Trump's tweets. Only 23 percent of voters said that his tweets were beneficial.
But low poll ratings and general disapproval of Trump on Twitter will not keep him off social media.
A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows the vast majority of voters, 69 percent, say Trump uses Twitter too much.
Trump said in a tweet earlier on Tuesday: "Sorry folks, but if I would have relied on the Fake News of CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, washpost or nytimes, I would have had ZERO chance winning WH". "And I think many times he's used it the right way to get his message out there and have people hear directly from him what he thinks, and other times I think what he's done hasn't been in his best interest".
