He was stopped from entering the country and his passport was withheld by the authorities.

V Gopalsamy, also known as Vaiko, founder of the political party Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), was denied entry into Malaysia on Friday at Kuala Lumpur airport.

Vaiko was stopped at Kuala Lumpur airport at 6.30am and the officials there told him that he could not be allowed to enter the country due to his LTTE connections. "Vaiko was questioned by officials about his links to the LTTE and about several cases filed by Sri Lanka against him". He will be returning Chennai tonight.

The MDMK leader, it may be noted, had been invited to Malaysia by the Ramasamy Palanisamy - the deputy chief minister of the state of Penang - to attend his daughter's wedding that is to take place on June 10.

Billionaire Moshiri to spearhead Everton’s Italian job
Indeed, it is only by virtue of Falcinelli’s prowess in the final third that Crotone still remains in contention to survive. In Romelu Lukaku, Koeman has a player with the capability of firing Everton to far headier heights than seventh place.

The Malaysian Embassy in Chennai had cleared his visa last week. Despite trying to get in touch with the deputy chief minister, the immigration authorities did not let him enter the country, saying that his name surfaces in the list of risky people who are not allowed to enter Malaysia.

The party said that Vaiko told them that he is an Indian citizen and showed his passport but it was not accepted.

Airport authorities specified that Vaiko is a member of LTTE.
