Gunmen and suicide bombers carried out coordinated attacks on Iran's parliament and the tomb of revolutionary founder Ruhollah Khomeini on Wednesday, state media reported, killing at least three people.

Concurrently with the attack at the mausoleum, the second terror team, which included four people, sought to enter the official building of the parliament but were confronted by security forces, the statement said.

State TV later said four attackers are involved in the parliament attack, and that eight people were wounded.
