A year after Green caught flak for a wayward leg that seemed to often find its way into the crotch of various opponents, which eventually earned him a suspension in the NBA Finals after he made contact with LeBron James' groin on a wild swing last year, now it appears LeBron may have committed the same incidental - or not- contact on his final shot in the Cavaliers' 118-113 loss to the Warriors in Game 3 of the Finals on Wednesday.
The thrilling back-and-forth affair was the first close game of the finals, but the Cavaliers will now have to do what no National Basketball Association team has ever done in the playoffs, win four straight games after going down 0-3 in a series.
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 31 points for the Warriors, as his team pipped LeBron James Cleveland Cavaliers 118-113 in their hometown.
Irving bounced back from a rough Game 2 with 38 points, including a couple of dazzling layups where he juked around multiple Warriors.
Last year, they broke new ground by becoming the first team to come back from 3-1 down in the finals, but the Warriors with Durant and a healthy Curry are a different beast.
And after Kyle Korver - one of the NBA's best three-point shooters - missed an open corner three-pointer with 52 seconds remaining, Durant caught the ball near the top of the key and buried the game's biggest three-pointer to make it 114-113 with 45 seconds remaining.
"All I was looking at was the bottom of the net", said Durant who is playing his first season with Golden State. "I've been working on that shot my whole life". So many questions. Hopefully we get some answers to those questions between now and Game 4 on Friday.
Hyannis to mark centennial of John F. Kennedy's birth
Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, Massachusetts, where the Kennedy family - Roman Catholics by religion - had its residence. Undersecretary of the Navy Paul Fay sang "Hooray for Hollywood" at a yacht party in 1963 for then-president John F.
Shortly after the loss, Smith tweeted, "Cavs in 7".
"My mindset is to try to get every game". "I can't be disappointed with the effort and how we played, but they made the plays down the stretch that we didn't execute defensively or offensively, and we took advantage of it".
"We were up eight in the first quarter", Durant said.
As was the case in the first two games, the Cavs couldn't afford to go scoreless, or the Warriors would capitalize on the missed opportunities.
The Cavs' offense went cold, while the Warriors chipped away at the lead.
When Kevin Durant chose to join the Golden State Warriors last summer as a free agent, he cited plenty of reasons. Curry has hit at least one 3-pointer in all 73 career postseason games. Golden State's nine 3-pointers in the first quarter broke the previous Finals mark held by five teams, most recently the Warriors in 2015. Michael Jordan (1,176) is next. He played in 23 for Miami.
