WatchOS 4 overhauls a series of everyday apps such as Music, Workout and brings a couple of new watch faces including one that is powered by Siri suggestions.
One of watchOS 4's highlighted features is the kaleidoscopic watch face.
At WWDC today Apple announced not only High Sierra, but also watchOS 4.

WatchOS 4 is in developer preview now. Apple will likely seed several other betas, including a golden master version, before it releases the final version for consumers sometime this autumn.

In addition to keeping current users happy with some fitness improvements and very cool kaleidoscopic and Toy Story watch faces, the update tells us a lot about what the Apple Watch 3 might be like: what it will double-down on, what will be completely new and what it might leave behind. It reminds us of the proactive app and contact suggestions in iOS.
To make the smartwatch display even more interesting, Apple added a Kaleidoscope watch face that offers a set of varied and interesting patterns. Doing so produces a trippy effect that rotates and change shape. Glanceable information on the watch face isn't a new concept-plenty of Apple Watch faces include information like date, time, and calendar events. Likewise, you might see a photo that was taken on the same day a year earlier. These are workouts built around periods of intense activity followed by recovery periods and are seen as a more effective workout over a shorter period of time compared to steady-state exercise, such as jogging. Users close to achieving a goal they've set will wake up to a notification encouraging them to hit it, or receive tips on how to match what they managed to do the day before.
Apple also seems to be glomming onto some gamification features with Monthly Challenges.
There's also new full-face album art designs arranged in a deck of cards that are easier to swipe through. These watch face characters jump into animation as soon as the user lifts their wrist.
