Colbert said, addressing Trump.

Stephen Colbert has one response to Donald Trump calling him a "no-talent guy": "I won". "And you have kids watching", Trump said Thursday. And it only builds up my base. "It only helps me, people like him", Trump said. Now, thanks to the speed of late night television, Colbert has responded to the president's critique of him. The President trashed his show and called it "dying" and "filthy" in a quote that will just blow you away!

"I'm not comfortable", he facetiously confessed leaning away from his former Daily Show cohort. I've done his show. It was high-highest rating. While it's true that Trump did pull in high ratings, guess who drew even more? As Colbert pointed out, it's nearly as though people don't like Donald Trump!

According to a Fox News poll from late April, about 45 percent of people polled approved of Trump's job performance while 48 percent said they disapproved.

"Mr. Trump, there is a lot you don't understand", Trump said as he began his victory lap. But I never thought one of those things would be show business. "Now, if you saw my monologue Monday, you know that I was a little upset at Donald Trump for insulting a friend of mine".

"You were very restrained-admirably restrained".

"Of course, that wasn't the end of it", Colbert continued.

The president is a reliably class act, so when he sat down with The Economist and started railing against a late-night comedian, were you really surprised? "Don't throw me in that #Briarpatch'".

"But you're not wrong". For his part, Colbert owns up to it, saying "I do occasionally use adult language, and I do it in public... instead of in the privacy of an Access Hollywood bus".

Colbert has leveled a series of blistering attacks on Trump during his show, including one so fierce and off-color it led to the hashtag #FireColbert.

"It's true, the night you appeared on this show ... was very highly rated". You had to be nice to them so you didn't get turned away.
