― Reuters picLONDON, May 1 ― Tottenham's Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen said the pressure is all on Premier League leaders Chelsea after his side kept their title hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Arsenal yesterday.

Ahead of the game, Wenger was dreaming a top three finish and the omens were in their favour as both Manchester City and Manchester United drew their games today.

Spurs responded to Chelsea's 3-0 win at Everton by securing a convincing victory in the last-ever North London derby at White Hart Lane thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane in two second-half minutes.

Victor Wanyama believes Tottenham have "bigger things" on their radar than overcoming London rivals Arsenal as they eye a grandstand finish to their season.

'I feel angry and disappointed because obviously this is not a game we wanted to lose, ' Cech told FourFourTwo after the match.

A quick scan of Chelsea's fixture list says everything you need to know: only a massive bottle job can cost them the title.

"I am very pleased but I am very pleased for all the squad because we are fighting a lot through the whole season".

Harry Maguire's comments could be encouraging for Tottenham, Newcastle
Leicester was awarded a penalty in the 76th minute when Riyad Mahrez was fouled. The win was just a second for Arsenal in seven away games.

"Our target is to play for titles, so we are disappointed with our season because we aren't playing for a (league) title", Cech said.

"Hopefully, we will be finishing strong and achieving a nice thing as well".

They play United at home next weekend. We worked hard, we created the better chances, what a day.

Having netted his first north London derby goal, Alli posted a message on Twitter saying "Atmosphere was incredible, thank you to all the fans. north London is ours!"

The Spurs boss said: "I am happy because I think when you play a derby like Tottenham against Arsenal it is always important to win". "We were a bit too restricted in our game. On another day we could have scored a couple more so, all in all, it's a great performance".

"When I saved the ball from Eriksen I saw the ball going away and I thought we were safe but then it ended in the back of the net".
