Sections of Edgemere Road that run along the lake in Greece have been closed because of minor flooding. After his announcement in Rochester, Cuomo took several questions from reporters about the International Joint Commission, a U.S.

"I would expect to have flooding in the future", Cuomo said, "so let's make modifications and renovations that you have to make now to protect in the future". But the governor says they rebuffed that request, because of the possible flooding that would cause in other areas, such as Montreal. "So I'm reaching out to our congressional delegation to intervene on our behalf".
