NASCAR wasn't aware of the sponsorship, and officials asked for the logo to be removed before the vehicle made it onto the track.
NASCAR officials confirmed that the logo won't appear on Long's vehicle this weekend. He has three Top 20 finishes this year but prior to this current hot back-to-back streak, he hadn't placed in the Top 10. Unable to afford the fine, Long was barred until NASCAR commuted it before the 2017 season.
Motor Racing Network will air live coverage of the Go Bowling 400 Monster Energy Series race from Kansas Speedway on Saturday, starting at 6:30 p.m. (ET) - with live streaming at MRN.com and on the MRN App.
On the track, Kentucky Speedway hosted a Goodyear tire test Tuesday and Wednesday to get a feel for the 1.5-mile tri-oval's new surface.
Only 28 cars were on the track in time to qualify for Saturday night's Go Bowling 400, while a season-most 11 race cars were queued outside the inspection station having failed approval in time to qualify. Among the big names that failed to turn a lap were Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne. The 11 who failed inspection, along with Michael McDowell, whose vehicle sustained a blown engine in practice, will start, based on owners points, behind the 28 cars that qualified on time. He did a really good race, so it was fun. "We did that at Richmond", he said.
In qualifying, Blaney was sixth fastest in the first round with a lap at 188.798 miles per hour and fourth best in the second round with a lap at 189.480 mph. I've been in this situation already a few times where in the beginning of the race we are pretty bad, and then we work, we work and we work, and then by the end of the race, we got either a top 10 or very close to a top 10.
"This is just, wow. Super disappointing", Bowyer said as he walked from the inspection bay. "You're off 10-thousandths of an inch?"

The bride wearing a strapless gown had to especially focus on keeping herself warm due to the frigid weather. Kerry, the leader of a Greek mountaineering team, said: "Now we have electricity at the base camp".
Considering most of your B-List plays this season probably have gone to drivers such as Kyle Larson, Chase Elliot and maybe even Ricky Stenhouse Jr., this week's a good time to rest those young guys and put this veteran in your lineup. This will be my first trip to Kansas so I've been watching a lot of film and leaning on a few buddies for tips on how to get around this place.
"Then they wheel it back in and fail the exact same amount?" Considering his track record at Kansas, it only makes sense to back him this week. "Really, I liked the racetrack the way it was before with the asphalt really worn out and cars sliding all over". "Everybody is not trying to cheat on the same thing".
Miller characterized Friday's issues at Kansas as "fairly disappointing" and left the door open for examining the penalty structure for inspection failures.
NASCAR vice president of competition Scott Miller said most of the trouble has been at the laser inspection, which is a significant performance metric and an area where teams push the limits.
"Obviously they are two completely separate things, and you can't set your hopes too high from getting the pole or starting well", he said. So right now we're looking forward to also getting a Kansas win for them.
It shouldn't come as a surprise that five of the six Cup Series drivers with multiple stage wins this season now sit in the top seven in points standings, including all of the top four drivers.
