Teixeira is accused of murdering two engaged doctors in their South Boston penthouse condominium. The jewelry appears to have belonged to Bolanos, prosecutors said.

Richard Field sent a friend a chilling text message, saying a gunman had entered his South Boston penthouse and asking that police be notified. At least one knife was found at the scene.

Field was already dead, along with Dr. Lina Bolanos, his fiancee and fellow anesthesiologist.

Former security guard Bampumim Teixeira, 30, has been arrested for the murders.

Prosecutors say there's no evidence Teixeira had a "personal relationship" with the victims.

Prosecutors detailed the events of Friday evening leading up to the discovery of two renowned Boston anesthesiologists, found dead inside their penthouse condo. They had been alerted by two 911 calls, one from a friend of Fields who was anxious. Rather than seeking help or reaching out to authorities, she told him that she would pray for him.

Officers who showed up at the condo found a set of keys on the floor in front of the door.

Teixeira was held without bail on two counts of murder.

He has not yet entered a plea. Authorities believe the ex-convict, identified as 30-year-old Bampumin Teixeira, may have known the couple.

Real Madrid reached final despite 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid
They took the lead on 12 minutes through Saul Niguez before Griezmann doubled their lead from the spot four minutes later. Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone: "Those first 30 minutes will be in the history of the stadium and the people".

A judge also agreed to impound some documents in the case for 90 days.

The friend called police who found the bodies of Dr Lina Bolanos and Dr Richard Field, along with a black backpack filled with jewellery.

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said at a Monday night press conference that Teixeira did not shoot at police, contradicting an earlier statement by Boston police that "the suspect immediately began firing at the officers, causing them to return fire". No police officers were hit by gunfire but several were treated at hospitals for nonlife threatening injuries.

During Teixeira's arraignment in his room at Tufts Medical Center, Suffolk Chief Trial Counsel John Pappas provided new details about the alleged slaying. The court is expected to appoint an attorney for him then. With its rooftop swimming pool, unobstructed terrace views, and residential units that go for a cool two million, the Macallen Building is the last place one would expect to stumble upon a ghastly murder scene or witness a violent shootout.

Bolanos was an "outstanding" pediatric anesthesiologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and was "in the prime of both her career and life", her employer said. It could not be determined if he has a lawyer.

Field and Bolaños were both anesthesiologists.

"Dr. Field was a guiding vision at North Shore Pain Management and was instrumental in the creation of this practice, in 2010", the company said in the statement, later adding that he "was noted for his tireless devotion to his patients, staff and colleagues".

The suspect, of nearby Chelsea, had recently been released from jail, having passed notes demanding money from a bank on two occasions, according to prosecutors.

Bampumim Teixeira is scheduled to be arraigned Monday on multiple charges. It was unclear whether he had obtained an attorney. Officers found both of them in the Boston apartment Friday night with their hands bound. Officers fired back, injuring Teixeira. Teixeira has two larceny convictions on his record.
