Soccer's worldwide players' union says that a yellow card handed out to Pescara's Sulley Muntari should be rescinded after the Ghanaian global complained of racist abuse by fans in his team's Italian league game.
Under guidelines introduced following that incident, the referee is supposed to alert the fourth official who should in turn report the incident to the public security department responsible for policing at games. Moreover, the match officials say they did not hear the abuse.

The 32-year-old walked off the pitch in protest shortly afterwards and was then given a second yellow card and sent off.
