"They don't make those shots all the time, but they make "em a lot of times", Snyder said of the Warriors" terrific one-two punch.
The two-time defending Western Conference champions have not yet tasted defeat in the National Basketball Association playoffs.
Jazz center Rudy Gobert said he hopes his team can channel that hostility on the court, particularly with Utah getting off to such slow starts in the first two games.
The Golden State Warriors overcame sloppy shooting Saturday thanks to Kevin Durant's outstanding effort to earn a 102-91 victory and a 3-0 series lead over the host Utah Jazz in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals. Golden State took advantage, using a 12-2 run - sparked by a go-ahead 3-pointer from Durant - to take a 22-13 lead. Once Utah had a chance to set up its defense, the Warriors started to feel the defensive presence of Gobert.
Meanwhile, Durant slowly sliced apart Utah's defense.
The game was closer than the scoreline suggests, with the Jazz leading as late on as the fourth quarter, but they are staring down the barrel in the series. "But it's always good to know you're OK". "They'll be really important for us". Do you lose energy or do you respond with aggressiveness and confidence that we can get the momentum back on our side?
Utah stayed in the game for much of the evening, unlike the first two matches with Golden State. They forced turnovers and turned a potential blowout into a tighter affair. "We have to do it from the beginning", Gobert said.
"We have to compete against ourselves".
Jazz show improvement, but lose Game 3 to Warriors, 102-91
Jazz: Utah continued to have slow starts and shot just 28.6 percent and trailed by 10 at the end of the first quarter. It resulted in the ball getting stuck up by the shot clock and two easy points for Curry to tie the game at 70.
Hayward played the biggest role in bringing Utah back.
George Hill missed Game 2 due to a flare-up in the injured toe that he has been fighting through for most of this season. Hill is still day-to-day heading into Saturday.
"He rose up and was playing like who he is", Jazz coach Quin Snyder, unable to hide his exasperation. It's going to be up to the refs to either make life harder on the Jazz, or let them have a shot at shocking the world.
"I'm going to try to say this as humble as I can, but I've been doing this for so long", Durant said, "and every time I get out the bed and we have a game that day, I feel like I can go out there and score".
With Game 4 on Monday, the Warriors will look to end Utah's season, completing the four-game sweep in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The Warriors dished out 33 assists on 42 field goals on Thursday after notching 32 assists on 40 baskets in the series opener.
"If we hit a couple more shots, they don't get the transition looks that they do, and maybe we build it up to 12 or 13 points and it's a different ballgame at the end". The Curry/Thompson/Iguodala/Durant/Green line-up played only two minutes during that stretch, but it stabilized the Warriors.
Game 3 is Saturday night in Salt Lake City. "When we sprint somebody into a ball screen, that creates a little bit of separation. If you're able to get a lead, you got to try to put the game away".
Foul trouble kept Draymond Green from being a nonfactor in the game as his stat line for the night included nine points, 10 rebounds and five assist. He is listed as probable and is expected to play.
