CRAIG SHAKESPEARE hinted he is set to land the Leicester job full-time after getting the go-ahead to plan for next season.

Last week Morgan returned from a month-long spell on the sidelines with a back injury during the second leg of a Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid, but he failed to complete 90 minutes due to a cramp. "Teams are capable of winning games and putting points on the board", said Shakespeare.

"All the players are happy here". I'm sure the time will come to sit down.

"Yesterday [in their game] I saw the Arsenal players were fighting to win and they thoroughly deserved their victory", he told reporters.

Shakespeare's future is also yet to be decided with his short-term contract as manager expiring at the end of the season.

"We have to make sure we look after our own club".

Shakey, 53, preparing for tomorrow's trip to Arsenal, revealed: "I'm in charge of pre-season and I've had one meeting about recruitment, which I enjoyed".

"Any time the club wishes to talk about recruitment or pre-season, of course I have an interest in it. Pre-season is sorted, so any things like that, that involves me, I am happy to be involved".

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan will be missing for the Foxes as they travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

Slimani suffered a groin injury, while midfielder Nampalys Mendy was ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery.
