The violent, fascistic silencing mob appeared to score another "victory" against free speech last night at the University of California at Berkeley, as university officials urged the cancellation of a planned speech by conservative writer Ann Coulter over security concerns.
Coulter in a Fox News interview later on Wednesday said she would still speak.
Coulter had originally planned to speak at the school on 27 April, but on Tuesday vice-chancellor Scott Biddy sent a letter to the university's College Republicans saying that police could not ensure her safety, nor that of audience members, protesters or students.
We realize that this is disappointing news, but the good news is that UCPD and Student Affairs remain firmly committed to working with you to find an alternative time and date for Ms. Coulter to come speak here at Berkeley.
The showdown continues between the University of California, Berkeley, and Ann Coulter over whether the conservative firebrand will speak at the famously progressive school.
In its letter, Berkeley officials partially blamed Young America's Foundation for inviting Coulter and setting a date without consulting them first. As with other USA colleges and universities, it has tried to find a balance between ideological openness, student safety and student opposition to what some describe as "hate speech".
Violent fights between far-right and far-left protesters at a rally supporting President Donald Trump in downtown Berkeley proceeded the cancellation. Her speech topic centered on immigration.

Conservative author and pundit Ann Coulter delivers remarks to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) at the Marriott Wardman Park February 10, 2012 in Washington, DC. "Called their bluff & they canceled anyway".
Affirming this decision, Pranav Jandhyala, one of the event's organizers, said that, "She's definitely coming to Berkeley on the 27th". In her view, they just keep adding more "burdensome" conditions on her "constitutional rights". The story cited the Yiannopoulos controversy and Condoleeza Rice in 2014 being targeted by Rutgers University students when it was announced she would give the commencement address as evidence of "liberal hypocrisy on free speech".
The Berkeley College Republicans will host the event with approval from campus officials but with restrictions.
A campus spokesman said that if Coulter shows up next Thursday, the school will do "what is necessary to provide safety and security for the campus community", but he did not elaborate on what measures that might entail.
"In other words, we can't hold an event when our police department says, 'No, sorry".
University official claimed that, the college's Republicans did not consulted before confirming the event date on 27 April.
