Chalakudy: Noted Malayalam actor "Munshi" Venu passed away at a private hospital here in the wee hours of Thursday.
The 63-year-old actor was diagnosed with kidney-related ailments last year and had been undergoing dialysis. Also we hear that the actor was hospitalised by the residents taking into account his critical condition. He was most known for the character he played in the socio-political satire, Munshi, since the show went on air in September 2000. He entered films through Kamal's Dilip film Pachakuthira and was later part of many films.

According to reports, the actor, who hails from Thiruvananthapuram, was unmarried and was staying at a lodge in Chalakkudy for some time. He had acted in Dilip's Thilakkam and Mohanlal's Chotta Mumbai. As per the reports the actor didn't own a house and was living in a lodge at Chalakudy for the past 10 years. He struggled for his hospital expenses during his last days.
He was admitted to the palliative care by locals who found him roaming in the streets and sleeping on the veranda of shops.
