In an unprecedented display of Hollywood's franchise power Universal Picture, the producers and distributors of Fast & Furious 8 have chose to release their prestige premium product in 4 languages in India and in approximately 3,000 theatres across the country, thereby creating a panic situation for the week's major Hindi release Begum Jaan. They've long since dispensed with trivialities like logic (and indeed the former central premise of underground street racing), and they've managed to carve a lucrative position out of Hollywood's hillside.

The Fate of the Furious isn't expected to completely live up to the financial precedent set by Furious 7, which capitalized on the franchise's final appearance from the late actor Paul Walker and went on to gross more than $1.5 billion globally. Impressively, it doesn't feature any cars, but there's a baby.

Furious 7 was China's most successful movie ever, taking $72.7 million over one weekend in 2015.

"Rob Cohen, who I had made The Rat Pack with, we gave him the script". The Fate of the Furious, which is the 8th film of the franchise, seems to have topped them all and has received a great response from the Indian audiences in the first two days of its release.
