Corbyn makes his pitch to be Prime Minister - it's Us vs Them

Corbyn's visit to Cardiff North, a seat held by Conservative MP Craig Williams with a majority of 2,137, reflects Labour's determination to show that it is optimistic about gaining seats, despite trailing Theresa May's party by more than 20% in some polls.

Mr Jones made his first appearance since the announcement of a poll for 8 June was called earlier this week.

"In 2015, nearly exactly two years ago, I was given 200-1 as an outside chance", he said.

He said that while the Tories want to make the election about Brexit, Labour will focus on domestic issues that effect voters on a daily basis - "it is only Labour that will focus on what kind of country we want to have after Brexit".

The polls - admittedly not always a reliable indicator - give the Tories a 24 point lead and unless there is some sort of political natural disaster, it is hard to see how Labour can pull off a most unlikely victory. And a Labour government elected on June 8 won't play by their rules.

"Scottish Labour will be putting forward a positive vision for a fairer United Kingdom that rejects both the Tories' plans for a hard Brexit and the SNP's plans for a divisive second independence referendum".

"We are a party of half a million members and tomorrow in every town and city across the country we are going to be out campaigning on "Flying Start Saturday" to this campaign".

And attacking top bosses, he will say: "If I were Southern Rail or Philip Green, I'd be anxious about a Labour Government".

Trump dodges on whether North Korea's Kim is mentally unstable
Almost a month ago, the totalitarian nation released a fiery video with scenes including troops blowing up a U.S. The latest draft statement dropped "through dialogue" and Russian Federation requested it be included again.

However, Corbyn refused to say whether there would be a pledge for a second Brexit referendum in Labour's forthcoming manifesto, in response to journalists' questions following his speech.

However, there have been suggestions that another coalition could be formed to overturn the Tory government if no single party is able to get the majority.

If I were Southern Rail or Philip Green [chairman of Arcadia Group], I'd be anxious about a Labour government'.

No election is a foregone conclusion and we have witnessed some major electoral upsets in the past year from the Brexit result to the success of Donald Trump.

He said it was a "rigged system" set up by a "cosy cartel" which he said was "set up by the wealth extractors for the wealth extractors".

"The issue and the threat at this election is that, due to Labour's complete unelectability, we face an unfettered, out-of-control Tory Government". "Only Labour or the Tories can win this election and voting Labour is the only way to remove Theresa May from office". Seeking to define himself as an outsider against the establishment, he said: "We can't win, they say, because we don't play their game".

Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell hinted on Wednesday at a tax rise for people earning more than £70,000, who he said the party considered to be "rich".
