Kylian Mbappe, Radamel Falcao and Valere Germain were on target as Monaco scored three goals for the fourth consecutive Champions League match.

There was no Marc Bartra, the Spanish defender who needed surgery on a broken wrist suffered in the attack on the Dortmund team bus that forced the first leg to be postponed by 24 hours.

Although the Spaniard was able to attend the return match in Monaco and sit with his squad on the bench as well as deliver the final part of what was most-likely an emotional team talk, there was to be no fairy-tale ending as the Ligue 1 leaders completed the job with another impressive victory.

The team bus of German Bundesliga soccer club is escorted by police officers as it arrives at the Louis stadium before the Champions League quarterfinal second leg soccer match between Monaco and Dortmund in Monaco, Wednesday April 19, 2017.

Dortmund almost pulled a goal back in the 14th when Nuri Sahin's free kick from just outside the box beat a stretched Danijel Subasic but not the post, as the rebound shot across the goal mouth and out of danger. Dortmund's fans rallied to help their stranded Monaco counterparts by offering them a place to stay for free on Tuesday night, while Monaco's fans chanted for Dortmund for long spells during the rescheduled game. Prior to Wednesday's game, Dortmund's bus was held for almost 20 minutes by police at the team hotel.

Dortmund's "You'll never walk alone" anthem, a song notably shared with English club Liverpool, was played at the ground to mark the solidarity between the two clubs in the wake of last week's bus attack.

United Airlines to testify over passenger scandal
The company is now conducting a review of its policies on overbooked flights - with details expected later this month. Many lawmakers fly home almost every week while Congress is in session, so the United incident hit a raw nerve.

Monaco then made the Germans' task all-but-impossible three minutes later - Falcao found space in front of Matthias Ginter and steered in Thomas Lemar's cross from the left with a diving header.

Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel decided to make an attacking change after 26 minutes, when 19-year-old forward Ousmane Dembele replaced defender Erik Durm.

Once again, the clip starts with Monaco winning the ball back in their own half and scoring seconds later.

Reus, who had missed the first leg with a hamstring injury, pulled a goal back within three minutes when he smashed a cross from Dembele into the top corner after the teenager had charged down the right.

Falcao squandered a chance to extend Monaco's lead in the 65th minute when he was played through on goal, but the Colombian fired over the bar with only Roman Burki to beat.
