He remains one of college basketball's most polarizing players.

Allen will return for his senior season instead of depart for the NBA Draft, where he was projected as a second-round pick.

Duke guard Grayson Allen has chose to return for his senior season instead of declaring for the National Basketball Association draft, per the team's official site.

After tripping an Elon player Steven Santa Ana in December, Allen was suspended for one game, stripped of his captaincy and under a microscope for the remainder of the season. After scoring a team-high 21.6 points per game as a sophomore, the 6-foot-5 guard entered the year as the preseason ACC Player of the Year, but saw his shooting numbers drop across the board.

The prime minister also tweeted about his itinerary on his official Twitter account. Assembly elections in Odisha are due in May 2019 along with the general elections.

Allen averaged 14.5 points per game last season on a loaded Duke squad that won the ACC tournament before falling in the second round of the NCAA tournament to SC.

"I'm a firm believer that when something feels right, you go with it", Allen said.

Even so, his presence on next year's Duke team provides some needed continuity. "I love being a Duke student - and continuing to be part of the university culture is something I don't take for granted". He'll try to revive his stock as a senior next to Duke's latest star-studded freshmen class, led by big man Wendell Carter Jr. and guard Gary Trent Jr.

The Blue Devils remain in the mix for several elite recruits, including All-Americans Mohamed Bamba, Trevon Duval and Kevin Knox. Both have Duke listed among their final few schools.
