Fournette, Adams improve key numbers at LSU pro day

When it comes to draft projections and the possibility of being an early round selection, LSU safety Jamal Adams isn't backing down. The results they posted at LSU's pro day should only improve their stock.

The New Orleans native went through majority of the running backs drills at the combine, including the 40-yard dash, running a 4.51 at the National Football League scouting event.

Leonard Fournette received his fair share of criticism for showing up at the NFL Combine at 240 pounds.

Adams performed well in front of the likes of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, Titans head coach Mike Mularkey, Jets head coach Todd Bowles, and general mangers Jerry Reese of the Giants and Jon Robinson of the Titans.

From the beginning of this draft season, former LSU S Jamal Adams has been high on draft boards. They said at the next level it's different.

Rays lose their sixth of the last seven games after big error
The inexpicable error cost the Rays extensively, as the Red Sox went on to score three runs that inning, and take a 4-2 lead. But Toronto's starters are now ranked 28th in that same category and it's one of just three rotations with a negative WAR.

Among the topics he covered was his weight loss, down to 228 pounds: "My Mom's been on me about what I'm eating". "I just wanted to show everyone that I could lose the weight". It really doesn't matter. "He's a good player but I don't think he's a game changer".

Fournette decided not to run the 40 or go through any agility drills, such as the 3-cone drill or two-shuttle drill. He didn't do that, running a 4.56 40 at the 2017 NFL Scouting combine. "It's where I'm supposed to land, but that's definitely my goal".

ESPN's Mark Triplett reported Wednesday that Fournette wanted to show teams that he could drop the weight.

Dupre, a 6-foot-2, 192-pound receiver who had 41 catches for 593 yards and three touchdowns in 2016, will be visited at LSU by the Panthers this month.
