About a month ago, many people were taken by surprise when Superfly - the creators behind Bonnaroo and Outside Lands - announced a brand new music festival in Phoenix.
- This October, Steele Indian School Park will be transformed into a music, food and beer lovers paradise.
Set to play the festival are Chance the Rapper, The Killers, Run the Jewels, Pixies, The Roots, Real Estate, Big Gigantic, Odesza, HAIM, Juanes, Crystal Castles, Danny Brown, JR JR, Huey Lewis & the News, Calexico, The Shelters and more, plus a Superjam in the vein of the ones presented at Bonnaroo and Okeechobee. It appears to be a celebration of the Phoenix culture, making it a unique festival experience. From Indie-Rock and Hip Hop to Electronic, Classic acts, Rap, and more, Lost Lake Festival should make any music junkie happy.
With a pedigree like Bonnaroo and Outside Lands under your belt, you know this festival will skip numerous problems that first year festivals have.
US jets intercept 2 Russian bombers off Alaska's coast
Before this incident, the last time Russian bombers flew this close to the US took place on July 4, 2015. Ross described the intercept as 'safe and professional'.
Local chef and restaurateur, Chris Bianco, owner of Pizzeria Bianco, will lead the festival's culinary experience, "Phoenix Flavors". According to the release, festival-goers will be able to enjoy "food from dozens of top Phoenix restaurants, and drinks from local breweries and a collection of the region's best cocktail bars".
"The Pits" area will focus on BBQ while "Brewpark" will focus on craft beer and backyard games.
Locals are concerned that the festival will bring more trash, crime, and traffic congestion in the area. A ticket purchase will include free parking passes for attendees to park their cars at their nearest Valley Metro park-and-ride location and ride the light rail by showing fare inspectors their festival tickets.
General admission tickets to the three-day festival start at $164.50.
