According to a White House official, Priebus told the president that Bannon and Kushner had a good talk.
Reports of widening tension and infighting among Trump's senior staffers-including his Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Chief Strategist Stephen Bannon-are overblown and inaccurate, at least five senior administration officials told Fox News.
Bannon, the former executive chairman of Breitbart News, is among Trump's most trusted yet most controversial advisers.
The shakeup could include the White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Special Counselor Steven Bannon, Axios reported.
Despite Trump's big news week, the White House is anxious that the stories of infighting and "palace intrigue" are supplanting stories about the president's successes.
In an administration where proximity often equates to power, Mr Kushner was one of the U.S. officials sitting closest to Mr Trump on Thursday as the president dined with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.
Numerous reports this week have signaled that the populist provocateur considered leaving the White House following his removal from the National Security Council's principals committee, although Bannon has denied those. The hard-charging Bannon, a self-described "economic nationalist", has clashed with Kushner, a longtime Democrat, on issues ranging from social policy to intervention in Syria.

A source within the White House said that the reason Bannon is falling out of favor with Trump is quite simple: "Bannon isn't making "Dad" look good".
Even as Trump apparently sought to cool the infighting, he is said to have floated potential replacements for Priebus, who has reportedly been on thin ice since January, due to the administration's early missteps.
In McMaster's report on Thursday night about the airstrikes, the lieutenant general said the National Security Council had met on Wednesday to discuss three options with Trump, who asked the team to concentrate on two options.
