The Conservative Party has scrambled to lock down a function on the app which allowed anyone to log in as an MP or a speaker by inputting their email addresses. This is a serious security breach and no laughing matter. Was it an unforced error the party could do without, and a bumpy start to what was already likely to be a bumpy conference? Yes.
