US Successfully Tests Missile-Intercept System As North Korea Tensions Rise
Gen. Sam Greaves, Missile Defense Agency director. The test of the so-called THAAD system, which the United States wants to set up in South Korea, came two days after North Korea's second test of an ICBM. Lockheed Martin Corp, the prime contractor for the system, said it has the ability to intercept incoming missiles from both inside and outside the Earth's atmosphere.
