"Jackie Brown" & "The Descendants" Actor Robert Forster Passes Away At 78

Forster's final film role ironically premiered today on Netflix, the Breaking Bad sequel film El Camino, reprising his role as Ed from the TV series. Dally Has a Lover in 1965.

Forster also starred in "Medium Cool", "Mulholland Drive" and "Twin Peaks".

"I've done a lot of genre pictures in my career.I've always liked them", Forster told the Bleecker Street blog upon the release of 2018's indie drama What They Had.

Forster appeared in more than 100 films, a representative for the actor said in a statement after his death.

Publicist Kathie Berlin said Forster died of brain cancer following a brief illness.

Forster's film debut came opposite Marlon Brando and Elizabeth Taylor in 1967's Reflections in a Golden Eye.

Besides El Camino, Forster completed two additional projects in 2019: Steven Spielberg's upcoming web television series Amazing Stories and Werewolf.

"You learn to take whatever jobs there are and make the best you can out of whatever you've got".

According to Variety, Forster is survived by his children, Bobby, Elizabeth, Kate and Maeghen; his grandchildren, Tess, Liam, Jack and Olivia; and his longtime partner, Denise Grayson.
