Following the Song-Song couple's shocking divorce announcement, attention is being drawn to "Arthdal Chronicles" featuring Song Joong-ki.

After months of fevered speculation, it appears that the split rumours are true.

They married in a lavish wedding on October 31, 2017 in Seoul.

"I would like to extend my honest apologies for the unpleasant news to the fans who have supported me all along the way".

Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo's label UAA Korea also released a statement announcing the reasons for the split.

"I chose to start a court mediation procedure for my divorce from Song Hye-kyo", the actor said through Blossom Entertainment, his management agency.

The series follows South Korean Special Forces Captain Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki) and Dr. Kang Mo-yeon (Song Hye-kyo) as the two begin a relationship amidst ongoing border wars and medical crises in the fictional country of Uruk.

According to several Chinese websites, a source has confirmed that the Song-Song couple's marriage was on the rocks because Song Joong-ki allegedly had an affair with Song Hye-kyo's best friend as well as stylist.

Mueller's report was written in two parts: a volume on Russian election meddling and one on obstruction. Mueller, however, said on May 29 that "there was insufficient evidence to charge a broader conspiracy".

The reason for divorce is a difference in personality.

"I made a decision to start a court mediation procedure for my divorce from Song Hye-kyo", the actor said through his management agency, Blossom Entertainment. The decision came because the pair could not overcome the difference. "Both of us hope to settle the divorce process in a smooth manner, rather than debating wrongdoing and blaming each other". A representative of the agency stated, "We find it unfortunate that we are greeting you with unhappy news".

UAA Korea added that it can not reveal more details of the celebrities' personal matters.

The statement continues with asking everyone for "understanding as we can not confirm more details because it is both of the actors' private lives. We ask for your understanding".

We apologise for fuelling worries.

As for Song Hye-Kyo, she made her successful comeback to K-dramas previous year in the K-drama Encounter (also known as Boyfriend) starring alongside Park Bo-Gum.

Both Park and Song Joong-ki are represented by Blossom Entertainment.
