Marvel’s Avengers game release date and gameplay trailer revealed by Square Enix

At long last, the trailer for Marvel's Avengers by Marvel Games, Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics, and Eidos Montréal was released at E3 2019!

Primary developer Crystal Dynamics says it plans to keep the game fresh for "years" by adding new heroes periodically from Marvel's sizable comic book stable, and it has zero plans to charge players extra for it.

Details from a leak just before E3 have been confirmed.

As well as an original story, the game will feature multiplayer components where players can customise heroes from the Marvel Comics roster and team up to protect the earth from new threats. This means that there's no holds barred and this game's version of the Avengers could end up doing anything or fighting any enemy without having to pay attention to established lore. Players will be able to choose from five heroes: Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Black Widow.

According to the reveal trailer, and the talks that followed, it looks like Marvel's Avenger's will follow a story set in a completely new universe.

Rather than rendering the characters to look like their big screen counterparts, developers Crystal Dynamics - who recently rebooted the Tomb Raider games - have designed them to look totally different, nearly distractingly so, and fans have shared their confusion online. Laura Bailey, Nolan North, Troy Baker, and other acclaimed voice actors are part of the game. Additionally, PlayStation users will receive early access to the game's beta. He shrunk a huge robot using a weapon and we believe it could be Hank Pym aka Ant-Man. The game which will launch on May 15, 2020, features our favourite superheroes including Iron Man, Black Widow and Captain America to whom we sadly said goodbye in Avengers: Endgame.
