Public records show that the home is owned by Paul and Susan Caneiro, and that the two men shared at least one address in NY several decades ago.
Paul Caneiro has not been charged with the murders of his brother and family, but police told the Daily Mail other charges were expected.
State records from 2014 show that Paul and Keith Caneiro registered an Asbury Park-based company named Jay-Martin Systems that was doing business as "Square One".
Firefighters responded to the fire around 1:30 p.m., and it was still burning hours later.
Residents in a New Jersey community have come together to mourn the loss of four family members who authorities determined were killed before their home was set ablaze. Three "badly burned" bodies were found in the house, and it's believed they belong to Caneiro's 45-year-old wife Jennifer and their two children; law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 they appear to have been stabbed.
Officials say Paul Caneiro was charged with aggravated arson on Wednesday. They have speculated that the two fires may be related but haven't charged Paul Caneiro in connection to the second blaze and wouldn't say today whether he was a suspect in the homicides.
Prosecutors say the four people found dead at the scene of a New Jersey mansion fire have been identified as a husband and wife and their two children, and each were victims of "homicidal violence" before the blaze was intentionally set.

Investigators said they are looking into a possible link between this fire and another suspicious fire in nearby Ocean Township at a different home reportedly owned by a relative of the Colts Neck homeowner.
The three individuals found inside the home were reportedly severely burned, making them hard to identify.
Keith Caniero, his wife, Jennifer, and their two children were found dead at their 15 Willow Brook Road residence in Colts Neck yesterday after reports of a fire at the home.
If convicted, Paul Caneiro could face 5-10 years in prison on the arson charge.
The prosecutor expects to release more details later Wednesday. Authorities said they were investigating whether the two blazes were connected. Attorney information for Caneiro was not immediately available.
Authorities did not officially confirm the identities of the victims.
Property records indicate the home was owned by Keith Caneiro. Bruce Springsteen reportedly owns a home in the town, and his youngest son Sam joined the Colts Neck Fire Department in 2014, NJ.com reported. Neighbors described the couple as "friendly and helpful" and added that Paul Caneiro was injured in a vehicle accident several years ago.
