A shark killed a seal Monday off the coast of Nauset Beach on Cape Cod, causing it to close.
"He's in good condition", Kathy Tevyaw, Interrim Superintendent at Cape Cod National Seashore, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kendall Buhl.
A National Park Service ranger reported the water was murky in the area of the attack and speculated the shark didn't know what he was biting down on.
The man was about 30 feet from the shore when the shark bit into his paddleboard before swimming off.
The shark bite happened during high tide in calm seas, according to a statement from the Cape Cod National Seashore.
