"Phelps Vs Shark: Great Gold Vs Great White" is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Sunday night.
In 2012 Phelps said: "I've always wanted to dive with great whites". (At least that we are aware of). In Great White Shark Serial Killer Lives, the sharks aren't necessarily stalking human prey, but they do show up around the same time every two years.
According to Odds Shark, an online betting site, Phelps had his work cut out for him heading into the race as the great white was listed as a -550 favorite while Phelps was +325. One question, however, that no one is asking, is who will win. So why has a great white shark, tagged in South Africa, traveled 1,500 miles up the African coast to Madagascar?
Phelps was gracious in defeat, though he did note the chilly waters were an obstacle and "shocked" his body, and he probably should have used a thicker bodysuit to stay warm.
Added his DP co-shot Ziya Tong: "We're doing another version". And when you see the sharks and you see what they're up to and see people in the water with the sharks and you see how the sharks behave, you're not scared, you're in love.

"So between (pool) sessions, I was watching stuff about sharks and trying to learn more", he says. "I had one, like I was saying, literally come right up to my nose, and it was insane".
Really, if you can get through the garbage shows and needless worrying about shark attacks then shark week is still enjoyable.
