Chelsea pursue alternate wing back options after Danilo completes Manchester City transfer

It seems Pep Guardiola was the main factor in why he signed for them, and for an ex-Real Madrid player, he seems to hold the former Barcelona manager in very high esteem.

City have seen a number of defenders depart the club since the end of last season.

The 26-year-old becomes the club's fourth major acquisition of the summer after midfielder Bernardo Silva, goalkeeper Ederson Moraes and fellow right-back Kyle Walker. 'There has been strong interest from other clubs, but it has always been my ambition to play for Pep Guardiola.

"I can't wait to get started and I'm looking forward to getting to know my new team-mates over the coming weeks".

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane says full-back Danilo has "gone", with Manchester City believed to be close to completing a deal for the Brazil worldwide.

Speaking to City's official website, Danilo said: "I'm really looking forward to the challenge and would love to win the Champions League with Manchester City".
