A 25-year-old mother is facing murder charges after police found her toddler dead in the back seat of her auto. The warrants said that Fowler may have placed clothes over the child's body to hide her death from the man helping to jump start her auto.

Fowler texted the child's godfather about an hour later - telling him that she was heading to an urgent care facility for headaches.

Police initially believed the child died during Fowler's visit to the hospital - but her timeline of events didn't add up, and an autopsy suggested the little girl had been dead for a longer period of time.

Police initially believed that the girl died after her mom suffered a seizure in the hot auto. At 4:54 p.m., Fowler arrived at Emory.

When Emory police responded, they found Skylar dead in the back seat. Fowler was also taken to an area hospital.

Police said Fowler left DeKalb County and traveled to multiple locations, including SC and Miami, before turning herself in.

In early July, investigators had enough to arrest Fowler, but she had fled town. The child was strapped into her auto seat in the back seat of the vehicle and was pronounced dead on the scene. However, with that in mind.

The toddler was buried in SC, where Fowler's family is from.

Fowler is charged with second-degree murder, second-degree cruelty to children, and concealing a death.
