Domestic help Zohra was missing for a day following a fight with her employer.

However, while there are different reports saying she was held captive inside the employer's home and another one saying she was locked inside the boot of a vehicle, Abdul said he did not know what happened. "One FIR has been lodged on the basis of the maid's husband complaint claiming assault while the other FIR has been lodged for attack on Mahagun Moderne society". "She kept saying that I had stolen money from her, and threatened me that she will lock me inside the house and will not allow me to leave till the amount is recovered", she said.

Superintendent of Police A.K. Singh said: "We've received a complaint from the husband, but the residents of the apartment have not registered any complaint yet". After that the maid Zora left for her home and later her husband along with security guard of the society came to inquire about the woman and said they have taken her phone.

When questioned of her whereabouts, the maid said she was given food and water which she had, and went unconscious.

They alleged she had stolen Rs 10,000 and that she had confessed to her crime. She said Zohra is in hospital and being treated for her wounds.

Heat advisory issued for NYC through Thursday
The lack of night time cooling can cause a risky buildup in heat stress for the homeless and those without air conditioning. High heat and humidity will continue over the next few days as high pressure remains in control of our weather.

"Most of the protesters are domestic helps, who are angry that a maid has been allegedly beaten up". On Wednesday morning, a few people went with me to the society and asked where my wife was.

However, a resident said that the protesters were enraged after a maid was handed over to the police after she was caught stealing from one of the apartments. "We didn't call them", Sattar said.

The flat owners explained that she had complained of feeling ill and rested in their place at night.

"Zohra works in a couple of more houses in the apartment, so she told one of her other employers that she was unwell, and hence the woman let her stay at her home".

Noida police, however, said that there was no mention of Zohra being held hostage in the FIR filed by her husband. "They entered in my house by breaking the door glass".
