Transformers: The Last Knight is now playing.

Wahlberg headed to the popular franchise for its fourth film Age of Extinction and is now promoting his starring role in the fifth instalment The Last Knight.

Wahlberg returns in "The Last Knight" as Cade Yeager, the small-town inventor, and he still manages to charm even when surrounded by hulking, hollering robots like the stogie-chewing Hound (John Goodman) and the wheedling scavenger-bot Daytrader (Steve Buscemi).

Transformers: The Last Knight is the fifth and final installment in director Michael Bay's action-packed series about robots that can convert themselves into vehicles. The future of the human race, however, lies in the hidden history of the Transformers on Earth. It shouldn't be this hard to unwrap the 5th Transformers movie but Micheal Bay really "Bay'd" this whole movie. Bonaventura compared the film's 1980s setting to the '90s setting of The Iron Giant, saying that it's a simple story with very few extraneous Transformers that draws on its innocent nostalgic setting. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone.

Transformers: The Last Knight has got off to a solid start at the box office in its opening night.

When asked if he believed Bay was done with the series, the 44-year-oldsaid: "I think so".

As an action star, Mark Wahlberg is ready for any trouble that comes his way, but off screen, the father of four admits that there's one thing he's not ready for just yet - his daughter having a dating life. "He showed me some incredible concept art and explained how the story connects the history of Transformers all the way back to the times of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table".

"You know it's one of those things where Michael has built this entire universe right, and he will decide what he wants to do and how he wants to do it". It's like Bay threw out the original script and replaced it with a new one that didn't quite share the same plot.
