Celtics Draft Rumors: Why Kansas Forward Josh Jackson Won't Workout For Boston

Forwards Josh Jackson of Kansas and Jayson Tatum of Duke are two players frequently mentioned as possibilities at the No. 3 spot, and Celtics president Danny Ainge said Boston could get the player there they might have taken at No. 1.

"He's kind of an isolation scorer that's got great length". With Brown already in place, and the Celtics not infatuated with any player in this draft, why not trade that third pick for a proven commodity?

"I have absolutely loved coaching Jayson Tatum", Krzyzewski said when Tatum declared for the Draft.

The Celtics, of course, never got to make the first pick in the draft.

Because the Celtics posted the best record in the East and have depth, it is believed that Jackson not working out for the team was more due to a lack of playing time. N.C. State last produced a lottery pick in 2013 when Durham's T.J. Warren, that season's ACC player of the year, went to Phoenix at No. 13.

Jackson plays with an edge to his game, something Phoenix coach Earl Watson loves in his players.

President Trump condemned the North's "brutality", and other political leaders demanded that it explain what happened to Mr. However, North Korea claimed Warmbier contracted the illness and became comatose as a result of taking a sleeping pill.

Tatum said he stayed in contact with Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski throughout the draft process, and it was Coach K who encouraged him to take the Celtics up on their last-minute invitation. Frank Jackson's skills set is suited for a combo guard, however teams may require him to play strictly point guard in the National Basketball Association due to his size. He's projected to go just outside the top 10 - maybe to Charlotte at No. 11 or Detroit at No. 12 - and is considered a late-riser as he's impressed during pre-draft workouts.

"Of course I'm going to say I'm the best player in this draft", said Jackson, who will make $4.2 million, $5.0 million and $5.9 million during his first three seasons in the National Basketball Association.

In Boston, Tatum will play alongside one the league's more dynamic point guards in Thomas, who averaged 23.3 points and 6.7 assists. "I don't think we were trying to penalize Josh too much, but we didn't get to see him or talk to him face-to-face".

"Yes, we would have picked him with the first pick", Ainge said according to CSN New England. "But I think that he's a guy that we thought really highly of from Day 1".

While that issue, like his college career, is now behind him, Jackson, to no one's surprise, seems intent on making the Suns look like geniuses for taking him while making the three teams who passed on him regret their decisions.
