An arrest warrant obtained by WSFB in CT details just how a special education teacher's alleged relationship with one of her students came to light.

The family of a CT high school student has filed a notice of intent to sue the city of New Haven and the school board after police say the teen was sexually assaulted by a teacher.

In a second interview, Ramos admitted to police she had sex with the teen "a handful of times" in her auto, adding that it began in December and ended in April.

Luis E. Cruz, 39, formerly of Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and illegal sexual contact of a victim less than age 16, according to the Western District Major Crime Squad in Bridgeport.

The student said he often saw Ramos and a male student "making eyes at each other, like flirting", according to police.

The school district wouldn't release more information to the Hartford Courtant about Ramos' employment status, how long she worked for Bridgeport schools and what subject she taught.

Officers said a student told a teacher that Ramos had been having sexual intercourse with one of her students in the special education program.

The teacher initially denied having a sexual relationship with the student when detectives first approached her.

In her confession, Ramos admitted having sex with her victim 'a handful of times' in her vehicle - the most recent encounter taking place in April. She said they had sex "a handful of times" in her vehicle - the last time in April.

'We take seriously all allegations of inappropriate conduct which threatens the well-being of our students, and such misconduct will not be tolerated'.

She was held on a $50,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on June 28.
