With the no. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers finally selected Lonzo Ball from the University of California at Los Angeles. The Sixers reportedly sent the Thunder's 2020 first-round pick and a 2020 second-rounder to Orlando.

The leader of the "Bad Boy" Detroit Pistons, Thomas won two titles and averaged 19.2 points and 9.3 assists per game for his career. His motion prevents him from shooting off the dribble moving to his right, a considerable flaw for a player chosen second overall in a draft considered to be loaded with talent.

At the NBA Combine, Mason was measured at 5-foot-11 - small by NBA standards, even for a point guard.

The 1.93 metre guard becomes the second consecutive number one overall pick by Philadelphia, following forward Ben Simmons a year ago. Now they add Fultz to a promising young core that includes Rookie of the Year finalists Joel Embiid and Dario Saric, plus Ben Simmons, the top pick from last year who sat out all season with a foot injury. Just to be able to learn from him every day should be unbelievable.

LaVar Ball had said his son would only play for the Lakers, and it was clear that would happen when Lonzo got a phone call with the Lakers on the clock.

"I'm gonna tell you what: Alonzo Ball is going to take the Lakers to the playoffs his first year", LaVar, wearing a Big Baller hat in Laker colors, said in a television interview.

Seth Rogen, James Corden deliver pizzas on 'Late Late Show'
They got the choice of accepting the pizza they ordered or opening the mystery box and forfeiting the one they had ordered. But when it's delivered by James Corden and Seth Rogen , it's instantly intriguing.

"Tonight was supposed to be a good night. Anytime you want the ball, just let me know and it's going to be there". Ball followed, and then came Jayson Tatum (Celtics), Josh Jackson (Suns), De'Aaron Fox (Kings), Jonathan Isaac (Magic) and Markkanen - all one-year college players. At the outset of the NBA Finals, Commissioner Adam Silver said both the league and the NBA Players Association wanted to change the age-limit rule, which creates the possibility of the one-and-done. The only player who was not a freshman was French star Frank Ntilikina, who was selected No. 8 overall by the New York Knicks.

On draft night, they still grabbed one of the most NBA-ready players available.

Bam Adebayo was the last lottery pick; he went 14th to Miami, joining De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk in the National Basketball Association.

"We don't need that attention", Kentucky guard Malik Monk said. "I believe I fill in every box on both ends of the floor".

Jonathan Isaac, right, poses for photos with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver after being selected by the Orlando Magic as the sixth pick overall during the NBA basketball draft, Thursday, June 22, 2017, in NY. "I've got an opportunity to play basketball and that's all I ask for". LiAngelo will be the next Ball boy to head to the UCLA Bruins.

In an interview on ESPN, Calipari insisted "It's not broken", and said being selected in the National Basketball Association draft is the equivalent of putting a player on a so-called lifetime scholarship. He was one of two players in the country to manage two triple-doubles and was the first player in Atlantic Coast Conference history to have two triple-doubles in league play in the same season. Nine of the first 10 selections played just one season of college ball.
