In the 2017 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers drafted Markelle Fultz as the No. 1 overall pick.
Bam Adebayo was the last lottery pick; he went 14th to Miami, joining De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk in the National Basketball Association.
The 76ers selected guard Markelle Fultz on Thursday night with the No. 1 pick after trading up earlier in the week to grab the high-scoring freshman guard from Washington.
Long story short, if the Sixers win the lottery next season and the following season, the Sixers would have traded just the No. 3 pick this season for Markelle Fultz straight up. While Fultz may have been the best player in the draft, the Lakers may have gotten the most entertaining player in Lonzo Ball, a pass-happy point guard who can make the players around him better.
Fultz is the Huskies' 10 first-round pick since 2005 and is the 16 since the draft switched to just two rounds in 1989.
"I think he'll teach me a lot and I'll take an even bigger step each year", Monk said. "I mean, say you want to do something, and to go out and do it is unbelievable". The Minnesota Timberwolves included the No. 7 overall pick in a deal with the Chicago Bulls that centered on All-Star forward Jimmy Butler, reuniting Butler with coach Tom Thibodeau.

The Brooklyn Nets picked Texas center Jarrett Allen at the 22nd slot.
