On Monday, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras told his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim that airspace violations over the Aegean must stop as they increase the risk of a military accident in the sea between the two uneasy neighbors and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras says his country will "very soon" be in a position to tap bond markets again, which would be Greece's first test of investor sentiment since 2014.

Ankara has repeatedly asked for the ex-soldiers' extradition, but Greek courts have twice turned down the request. They then sought asylum in Greece.

Yildirim responded to Tsipras by saying that even though he acknowledged that judicial and executive branches were different, "we believe the [alleged coup plotters] should be returned".

"Visa liberalisation for the Turks and financial support towards the country", have not yet been properly addressed, the Turkish leader added.
