Damon Lindelof is Developing HBO's 'Watchmen' TV Adaptation

Alan Moore's Watchmen is one of the most popular DC comics series of all time and is known for inspiring the "Dark Age of Comics". A movie version of Watchmen was hovering around development hell for almost 20 years until Zack Snyder finally brought his slow motion-filled adaptation to the big screen in 2009, and reports Snyder was approached to develop a TV series about the antiheroes for HBO were revealed in 2015. Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the project is in the early development stages.

HBO declined to comment.

Lindelof hasn't signed a deal, so the show still isn't definite, but the process is moving: It seems that Zack Snyder has either been removed or turned it down (maybe directing the Watchmen feature film in 2009 was enough for him; fans deserve a new vision, anyway). Snyder directed the 2009 Watchmen film which starred Patrick Wilson, Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Haley, Carla Gugino and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Pictures with a $130 million production budget, grossed a disappointing $107.5 million domestically and $185.3 million worldwide. Snyder-who recently left the upcoming Justice League after his daughter's death-isn't involved with this new production. His apparent departure from the Watchmen series, if he was even still working on it, is to be expected.

New Zealand keen to carry on Australia form into England clash
The whole team was bowled out for 223 runs in 44.3 overs and Australia emerged victorious with 33 balls to spare. New Zealand are, quite surprisingly, at the bottom of Group A with Bangladesh in the third position.

"From the flashbacks to the nonlinear storytelling to the deeply flawed heroes, these are all elements that I try to put into everything I write."
"It's the most married-to-the-original-text version of Watchmen that could've been made", he told the Observer.

So the real question now, though, is: Who watches the Watchmen? The show just finished its third and final season.
