A team of investigators hired by special counsel Robert Mueller to probe Russia's campaign to influence the USA election will look at the finances and business dealings of President Donald Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner, according to a report.

The Post reports the other members include: 'former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Carter Page, who was listed as a foreign-policy adviser for the campaign'.

Robert Mueller III is looking into Kushner's post-election meetings with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States, and Sergey Gorkov, who is in charge of the Russian state-owned bank Vnesheconombank, according to a report by The Washington Post.

At the December meeting with Kislyak, Kushner suggested establishing a secure communications line between Trump officials and the Kremlin at a Russian diplomatic facility, according to USA officials who reviewed intelligence reports describing Kislyak's account.

"We do not know what this report refers to", Kushner's attorney Jamie Gorelick told The Post in an email. "Kushner previously volunteered to share with Congress what he knows about Russia-related matters".

'He will do the same if he is contacted in connection with any other inquiry'. During that meeting, Kushner proposed establishing a secret communications channel between the Trump transition team and the Russian government that would bypass the USA intelligence community, according to The New York Times.

The Post, less than a month ago, reported Kushner was under FBI "scrutiny" in the Russian Federation investigation.

The move expands the scope of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. In December, he also met with Russian banker, Sergey Gorkov, in what the White House described as strictly diplomatic and not related to business.

Otto Warmbier dies days after being returned from North Korea
The 22-year-old University of Virginia sophomore honor student went on a five-day trip to #North Korea as a healthy man. Doctors who examined Otto Warmbier after his release said there was no sign of botulism in his system.

In another tweet, Trump called it "the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

Several news reports said Mueller plans to interview key us national security officials about Trump's comments seeking an end to the investigation of contacts his first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, had with Russia's ambassador to Washington, Sergey Kislyak.

The Senate's intelligence committee already has interviewed Johnson about the matter.

Mueller is a former head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Comey also said Trump repeatedly sought assurances that he wasn't a target of the Russian Federation investigation.

Comey said he believed Trump was trying to get him to drop an investigation of the president's former national security adviser, and that White House officials spread "lies, plain and simple" to cover up the reason for his dismissal.

"Regardless of recommendation, I was going to fire Comey knowing there was no good time to do it", Trump told Lester Holt of NBC News in an interview broadcast May 11. Coats and Rogers have testified that they were not pressured by the Trump administration.
