Football legend Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty Monday to driving while under the influence after he sideswiped a cop vehicle and a motor home in Florida a year ago.
Taylor, 58, was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, on September 2 after crashing into a stopped police auto on the Florida Turnpike. Taylor's breath was tested twice and he was over the legal limit both times, .082 on the first test and.084 on the second.
Taylor had been smoking cigars and smelled of alcohol, and had bloodshot, watery eyes and was unsteady on his feet. When asked if he had been drinking, he responded, "Apparently too much", the report reads. In exchange, he reportedly will be on 12 months of probation and have his driver's license suspended for nine months.
Besides that, Taylor will also have to do community service and pay $1,476 in court costs and fines.

Taylor, who lives in Pembroke Pines, played his entire career with the Giants, winning two Super Bowls before retiring after the 1993 season.
One of the most prolific pass rushers in National Football League history, Taylor has struggled with legal issues since retiring in 1993.
