Leaked images acquired by charlieintel.com seem to have confirmed what most cynics have believed to be ever since it was lumped in a deluxe edition for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
Following months of rumours, speculation and leaked retailer listings, it looks like Activision is about to officially unveil the standalone Call of Duty.
IGN has contacted Activision for comment, but received no response at time of writing. We'll let you know once the company drops word.
It looks like the long-rumored standalone version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered for PlayStation 4 is releasing on June 27 for $39.99 Dollars. Looks like that is about to change, however.

There was a fan backlash to the restriction when Modern Warfare Remastered was announced a year ago.

According to the pages, the game would be launching on PS4 and Xbox One on the 30th of July. Hopefully, we'll see it happen, and then traffic for the game will no doubt pick up immensely. The game would presumably become standalone on PC on the same date. Do you guys think Activision should release Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone game?
KitGuru Says: Modern Warfare Remastered reviewed very well and would likely have more players if it were released separately from Infinite Warfare.
