Xbox Backwards Compatibility - Microsoft deal big blow to Xbox One owners

This is particularly important for rendering high res textures, since both consoles aim to offer 4K quality.

Xbox One X won't be out until November this year. It has eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, 6 teraflops of graphics performance and 12GB of GDDR5 RAM.

Phil Spencer had some details share on it but more technical aspects of Xbox games running on an emulator and how well they work is something we can not comment on at the moment. On paper, it's clear that the PS4 Pro is competing with the Xbox One S, rather than the Xbox One X.

Spencer, however, refused to admit that Microsoft is selling each Xbox One X at a loss, clouding the profit margin that the company expects from what is described as "the world's most powerful console".

The Xbox One X isn't exactly the first console to be sold at a loss: every PS4 makes a loss in hardware terms.

For Microsoft, which will not be making any money off of each Xbox One X sold, it is hoping that the power of the console is enough to attract more players into the Xbox platform.

Open's final round as heavy winds pummeled the links-style layout, adding an intriguing wrinkle to the year's second major. It was the first time since the world ranking began in 1986 that the top three players missed the cut in any major.

The Original Xbox Backwards Compatibility was announced at E3 2017, but to less fanfare than the 360 Backwards Compatibility reveal at E3 2015.

"I've said I want to bring Game Pass to the PC". It was a great addition because you don't have to have a working old generation console and it worked seamlessly on the new Xbox One console.

The fact that Microsoft is not making a profit on the Xbox One X now, however, could not be considered surprising at all.

"So that's the point that I love to say, 'What kind of gamer are you?' and let you decide what's best for you". "I just want to show them games that they're going to be able to play on this box in the next year".

Speaking to Giant Bomb (via Gamespot), Spencer said that supporting original Xbox games on Xbox One is more technically challenging than Xbox 360, and touched on the rights issue as another bump in the road.
