The death toll in the high-rise tower blaze in Britain's capital soared to 30, police said Friday as they also warned that some of the victims may never be identified.
Cundy said police had started a criminal investigation but there was nothing to suggest "that the fire had been started deliberately". Structures may need to be erected inside the torched building to make it safe enough to search.
Swann said a lot was still unknown about the Grenfell Tower fire, but she hoped it would prompt people to think further than smoke and fire alarms when it came to constructing buildings of more than four storeys.
Around 70 people are missing, according to Britain's Press Association, and identification of the victims is proving very hard.
"The local community feels their grief has been made worse by the lack of information about their missing family members and friends", he wrote.
British Prime Minister Theresa May has ordered a full inquiry into the cause of the Grenfell Tower fire.
But accusations of a slow official response have heaped pressure on the premier, whose Conservative government remains in limbo after losing its parliamentary majority in last week's election.
We understand the community will not want us to wait until the conclusion of any formal public inquiry before we understand what lessons may have to be learned.
He said: "We have been in constant contact with the various housing providers in Lewisham in the last couple of days and we will be writing to them all to get their assurance that risk assessments will be carried out as soon as possible".
The names of those who lost their lives are beginning to be made public. "We owe that to the families, to the people who have lost loved ones and the homes in which they lived".
A lawyer for the family told CNN that Trevisan was able to speak with her parents before she died, telling them: "I am going to heaven".

Residents said they had been complaining for years about lax standards while aspects of a recent $13 million refurbishment to the building have fallen under suspicion of allowing the fire to spread more rapidly than expected.
In parliament, the government's fire and housing ministers said other tower blocks which were also recently refurbished would be assessed.
Many of those inside of the building were still being treated for smoke inhalation, among other injuries.
"We have heard a number of theories about the cause of the fire at Grenfell Tower", said the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the local authority which owns the block.
More than 200 firefighters were dispatched to battle the blaze at Grenfell Tower but another 100 had to be brought in to relieve their exhausted colleagues.

Residents also said they felt ignored by the Prime Minister in the aftermath of the fire.
A spokeswoman said: "The safety of our residents has always, and will continue to be, a priority for Newport City Homes".
In November, the Grenfell Action Group highlighted ongoing concerns among residents over the safety of the tower, managed by the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation on behalf of the borough.
The group's blog post argued that only "a catastrophic event will expose the ineptitude and incompetence of our landlord. and bring an end to the unsafe living conditions and neglect of health and safety legislation that they inflict upon their tenants and leaseholders".
However, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson took to Facebook to attack Labour politicians for "political game playing", defending his record regarding the fire service as mayor of London between 2008-2016.
London firefighters are continuing the grim search after a high-rise fire that killed at least 30 people as public anger about the blaze continues to grow.
