"Give credit to Kyrie (Irving) and (LeBron James), they played like the stars that they are".
A lot was said before these Finals about the non-competitiveness of the National Basketball Association playoffs - the Warriors became the first team in history to start the playoffs 15-0 and sport a point differential of 13.8 points, while the Cavaliers lost just once before the Finals. Perry Green and Stephen D. Riley of the AFRO Sports Desk debate this pressing question. This time, it was a seemingly insurmountable 3-0 hole. You just want to get it done. Golden State losing four games in a row is highly improbable, especially considering the Warriors have only lost one game so far this postseason. As was the case in Friday night's Game 4, the wine and gold set records while beating the Warriors and avoiding elimination. That should give the Cavaliers some hope. Bill Callahan, Marc Davis, and John Goble called 51 personal fouls (27 on Golden State) in the 137-116 loss. However, I'm not totally getting why Golden State is still doing this kind of thing. It's two super teams facing off and anything is possible.
James is always a big game player, and one does not need to brief him about the importance of this game in the context of the final. So, last year, I didn't put it past Cleveland to have a rest of a spectacular series. That won't happen now, but there's still a chance for them to get it done in seven. "He's one of the best one-on-one players in the game".
Durant: "Yup. If I'm not in them, I don't watch them".
Riley: Their win last season wasn't a fluke.
Insomniac's Spider-Man game is cinematic and action-packed
The mechanics seem fluid, the fighting sequences are outstanding, and we love the character of Spider-Man. Insomniac has worked on the Ratchet & Clank platformer series and the open-world Sunset Overdrive .
Irving has scored almost seven more points per game in Cavs wins than losses in the past two Finals with the biggest difference being his long-range shooting; he is shooting 27 percent in the six losses and 53 percent in the five wins. And after struggling mightily from beyond the arc in the first three games, the Cavs finally exploded in a big way by hitting a playoff-record 24 three-pointers on a sizzling 53 percent shooting. It's a long shot, but Cleveland has been in this position before.
"That's part of who we are", James said. Tomorrow Game 5 will take place.
But for Game 5, it is Draymond Green who is in the spotlight.
There are only three Golden State players in the top 11 of this list. But back in Oakland for Game 5, can the Warriors do what they failed to do twice previous year and win a title on their home court? But as we saw in Game 4, Cleveland's roster is just as loaded with talent and can compete with anybody. Golden State wasn't awful shooting, but was just 11-of-39 from the arc. No one, besides myself, expects Cleveland to pull this comeback off.
"Hitting and being physical and just everything they do to us in the first three games, we have to do that", Lue said of Game 5 on Monday.
