Eddie Lacy Reportedly Passes Seahawks Weigh-In, Earns Contract Bonus

"I have a great support group behind me from coaches to players to the nutrition team", Lacy said, naming everyone who's helped him lose weight. The 2013 Pro Bowl selection with the Green Bay Packers always has been a bigger, downhill runner, but there were concerns he was getting too big, sacrificing speed and agility in the process.

"Whatever he likes, that's what I like", Lacy said earlier this month. However, Eddie could balloon over 250 pounds and that could be a problem.

But don't expect Lacy to get back down to the 230s.

As Eddie Lacy's weight continues to drop, his bank account gets fatter. The first check came in May, where he had to get in at 255 pounds or less. The main reason was a provision that stated the talented, but often hefty running back would earn a bonus if he managed to hit certain benchmarks with his weight. That would be an extra $55,000 bonus check.

Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal were also in talks with the AIFF in recent days over their inclusion in the ISL.

Lacy had a Monday deadline to be at 250 pounds or less.

On August 1, the third check comes if he is still under 250 pounds. Lacy said he is from Louisiana and loves to eat and will have to cut out a lot of his favorite foods to keep at his playing weight.

If you're looking to follow Lacy's diet plan, it sounds like P90X is the way to go.

Lacy's contract with the Seahawks includes a clause that could earn him up to $385,000 based on the results of seven different weigh-ins. He played at 234 with the Packers.
