Sara was leaving bar London Grind, near the bridge, with her friend Pri Gonçalves when they heard the van crash and saw people running from the carnage.

Dozens of people gathered in driving rain at the end of London Bridge, where a growing mound of flowers sits beside a police cordon.

While the government did not publish the names of the two victims, the family of 28-year-old South Australian woman Kirsty Boden confirmed her death in a statement, saying the career nurse "ran towards danger" - doing what any emergency services member would do before she was killed.

Her family said she died after running towards the danger to help victims on the bridge. Police did not elaborate on how she was killed.

In addition to Ms Zelenak and Ms Boden, Candice Hedge from Brisbane and Andrew Morrison from Darwin were victims of the London terror attack; both stabbed in the neck but recovering.

Butt was among three men who rammed a van into pedestrians on London Bridge and then stabbed people in nearby Borough Market. They were going to look for a bar to finish off the night.

At least 48 people were injured, almost half critically, in Saturday night's attacks. As of yesterday, friends and relatives were becoming increasingly desperate to learn the fate of others still missing.

There is still no further news on another Australian still missing after the attacks.

Ms Delcros was seriously injured when she was struck by the van, while witnesses' accounts suggest Mr Thomas, 45, was thrown into the Thames by the impact, Scotland Yard said.

Officers have been searching the river for Thomas and appealed to anyone who has seen him or was on the bridge to come forward.

Australian authorities are working with United Kingdom police to determine what happened to Brisbane woman Sara Zelenak, still missing after being separated from friends on London Bridge during the attack.

"We were counting down the days to see her", Wallace said. "It does not surprise me that if there was a situation where someone else was in need that she wouldn't jump in and do that at her own expense", she said.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said in an interview with 3AW radio on Wednesday that he had personally been in touch with the families of the two dead Australians.

Jay Weatherill, premier of South Australia, offered his condolences to the Boden family.

The friend described seeing Echeverria for the last time lying on the floor after confronting one of the assailants.

"Please join us in praying for Sara's family at this time".

Echeverria's brother, Joaquin, told the AP on Tuesday that British authorities told the family it would be another 24 to 48 hours before they could confirm whether Ignacio was among the dead.

She added that police told her they were unable to formally identify him until the coroner's report is released on Tuesday.

Redland City Bulletin understands Ms Zelenak's family lives at Ormiston and the 21-year-old attended Moreton Bay College.
